These are class start times, please arrive in time for a prompt start.
Puppies under 12 months start with the Good Citizen Puppy Foundation Course.
This introduces the puppy and owner to puppy good manners and the responsibility's of dog ownership. At the end of the course we are not looking for a highly trained dog but one that is beginning to grasp the basics of training and good social behaviour.
Dogs over the age of 12 months but have had no training or older dogs new to the owner such as rescue dogs also start in this class but the first level they would work towards would be Bronze.
For dogs that have Puppy Foundation or are over a year old work towards their Bronze, Silver and Gold Good Citizen qualifications. This builds on the training started in Puppy and as the dogs work through the levels they learn more and the owners have more control and a well socialised dog.
Test nights are held throughout the year.
If you would like to progress with your dogs training to include the more advanced excercises such as scentwork, sendaways plus a lot more or are interested in competing this is the class where we can work on precision and immediate response to commands.

Classes are held on a Monday and last for one hour. The only time they are not held is on Bank Holidays and a three week break over the Christmas and New Year holiday.
The majority of owners come along to weekly classes, it is not a course so you are able to start coming whenever you want. Puppies can start after they have been vaccinated.
Socialisation within the first twelve weeks is advisable so being able to start early is beneficial for your puppy. Very young puppies (under twelve weeks) are not forced into doing anything they are not sure of and I take care to ensure that they have only good experiences with other puppies and older dogs .
Classes are based on the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme but we do have fun with other disciplines such as basic agility or tricks.
If you have a problem mention it at class and it can be dealt with, you will not be the only one with a problem!
Aims to provide a means of socialising puppies and to lay down a foundation for education and training .
Emphasis is placed on the handlers ability to handle, control and generally care for their dog in a domestic environment. Some exercises will be extensions of the Puppy Foundation Award.
The aim is to build upon the skills learned in the Bronze Test whilst increasing the level of difficulty.
This is the highest level of achievement in the scheme and develops more advanced training skills of the dog and handler.
If you cannot get to classes or have a specific problem that you would like some extra help with or would like specialised training in Ringcraft or Gundog Training for example you can arrange to have a one to one lesson at your home.
This can be arranged at any time to suit you including evenings and weekends
The first time I visit will take two hours, the charge will be £75
Subsequent visits are charged at £55 an hour.
If you would like to visit to see a class in action please feel free to pop in at any of the times given above
